Ernesto Priego Receives SST Dean’s Award 2026 for Research Excellence

Ernesto Priego has been awarded the School of Science and Technology (SST) Dean’s Award 2026 for Research Excellence at City, University of London. The award was presented at the Dean’s Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, 14 April 2026.

This recognition celebrates Ernesto’s outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of digital comics research. His work continues to make a significant impact across scholarship and practice, reflecting the values and ambitions of our HCID community.

Apollo Karkanevatos Receives SST Dean’s Award for Best HCID Student

We are pleased to share that Apollo Karkanevatos has received the School of Science & Technology (SST) Dean’s Award 2026 as Best Student in the MSc Human-Computer Interaction Design programme at City St George’s, University of London. The award was presented at the School’s ceremony on Thursday, 2 April 2026.

Apollo was an outstanding student throughout their master’s study in HCID in 2025/26 and we are delighted that earlier in 2026 he joined our Centre as a researcher in Data Visualization on the Dara project.
