Sebastian has been awarded two travel grants to visit Sweden this summer. In May and June, Sebastian will be visiting the Division for Interaction Design and Software Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg. There, he will collaborate with Birigt Penzenstader and Juliette Waltregny on the notion of permacomputing and articulate shared software and technology development principles based on nature-friendly farming. Sebastian and Juliette will implement these principles in a soil-sensing hardware prototype.

In August and September, Sebastian will visit the Department of Media Technology & Interaction Design at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. There, he will collaborate with Rob Comber to continue the work on the soil sensing prototype and run a co-design workshop on speculative futures/alternative presents to reimagine technological relations in sustainable agri-food systems.
