A new academic year has begun, and we are delighted to welcome the 2026/27 cohort of MSc Human-Computer Interaction Design students to HCID!

To kick off the year, HCID held an induction session, giving our new students the opportunity to get to know each other, meet members of the HCID team, and learn more about what lies ahead. One of the highlights was a panel discussion with current and former MSc students, who returned to share their experiences of the programme, reflect on their journeys, and offer insights and advice to the new cohort.

Our students join us from a wide range of backgrounds, bringing different perspectives, experiences, and ideas to the programme. Over the coming year, they will explore how to research, design, and evaluate interactive technologies, with a strong emphasis on inclusive, ethical, and human-centred design.
