Project Summary

HCID is working with the giCentre and Thermal Vision Ecology Ltd on a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project to develop commercial software tools that will improve ecologists’ ability to operate and extract useful information from infrared cameras. The goal of this project is to create a software platform that integrates with commercial infrared camera SDKs and APIs, enabling ecologists and conservationists to capture, visualise, and analyse thermal video data of bats in the wild. The project incorporates user-centred and co-design principles from the ground up to guarantee usability for ecologists working in the field and the lab.
